Several years ago, when I was seriously collecting world crowns of the 1800's, that was the holy grail of all coins as far as I was concerned. Unfortunately, I had to be satisfied with pictures and an empty feeling. Oh well....

That is very nice. When I get bored of US/Canada stuff, I dabble with world coins on occasion. There is just about an endless variety of interesting stuff out there, and these can all be found on the cheap in junk bins....

The obverse has great composition, specifically the spacing between the lettering and Victoria's crown. Nice geometry. Makes American currency of the period look downright rustic. :smile: |
